Training and Development Workshop – A great success

Representatives from 17 community groups met at the Radisson Blu in Athlone on Tuesday 27 February for a Training and Networking Workshop. These workshops are held by Glór na nGael several times a year to give the community groups, Scéimeanna Forbartha Líonraí Gaeilge, Bailte Seirbhíse Gaeltachta and Oifigigh Pheanála Teanga an opportunity to come together and get support or share advice with each other.

The day commenced with a Q&A session with Foras na Gaeilge, focusing on the support available for the groups engaged in various programs. This was followed by Open Forums, allowing participants to foster deeper connections and share insights about their ongoing projects. The forums also enabled the groups to seek advice from similar committees across the country on any challenges faced, as well as to brainstorm new ideas for projects, campaigns, or events they are managing. Moreover, the committees had the chance to explore the realm of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace, with Dr. Eoghan MacConnell Óig elucidating the potential benefits of this technology for their initiatives.
