The Glór na nGael adjudicators have visited forty communities throughout the island of Ireland. Each local committee presented and explained the work they had achieved during this last year.
It was evident to the adjudicators that excellent work is being done and that they are all going from strength to strength. The competition fund is worth €80,000 all categories combined. A main prize of €20,000 sponsored by Roinn Ealaíon, Oidhreachta, Gnóthaí Reigiúnacha, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta and Trófaí Foras na Gaeilge will be awarded to the overall winner.
Five communities are on the shortlist to be re-adjudicated to find the overall winner:

Rannóg le Daonra faoi 4,000 – Glór Charn Tóchair, Machaire Rátha, Co. Dhoire/Co. Derry
Rannóg le Daonra ós cionn 20,000 – Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich, Beal Feirste/Belfast
Rannóg Gaeltachta – Ionad Naomh Pádraig, Dobhar, Co. Dhún na nGall/Co. Donegal &
Comharchumann Forbartha Chorca Dhuibhne, Baile an Fheirtéaraigh, Co. Chiarraí/Co. Kerry
The second round of adjudictation will take place in November.
