The Growth of Irish in Dublin 7 – Teanga Tí supporting the community

There has been a major surge in the use of the Irish language in Dublin 7, and now a new community group working tirelessly to promote Irish in the area. The group will focus on providing social spaces and events where people can use their Irish, no matter what level of Irish they may have. There is a mixture of parents, young people and families taking part and the group have been growing continuously.

Gaelscoil Bharra has had a significant involvement in the movement, the school has been at the heart of the local Irish Community for years now. The school is supporting the use of Irish within families and promoting visibility for the language in the community.

Glór na nGael, through Teanga Tí, is looking forward to working with the group to build a strong family group. Through this partnership, support and publicity will be provided for the events, and will involve a play group which will commence on Friday April 25th at 10:30am.

If you wish to be a part of this new community group, contact us or you can feel free to attend the upcoming events of the group. A bright future is being created for the Irish language in Dublin 7.
