Family Irish Language Immersion Weekend

Teanga Tí organises at least one Family Irish Language Immersion Weekend every year. This weekend is aimed at families who speak Irish at home and will provide an opportunity for parents and children from all over Ireland to come together and speak Irish in a fun and lively environment. People of all ages attend and families came from across the country to meet each other.  It is a lovely annual event and families love to return year on year.

Family weekend in Gaeltacht na Rinne 2026

Irish speaking families will be heading for Gaeltachta na Rinne again this coming February 2026 for a weekend of events and fun.

They will spend 20,21 and 22 February in Coláiste na Rinne at an event organised with the support of Glór na nGael, Dún Garbhán le Gaeilge and Comhlucht Forbartha na Déise. Families will stay overnight in the College on the Friday and Saturday nights.

There will be workshops, walks, music, games and much more. The weekend will offer the families a chance to spend time and enjoy the craic with other Irish speaking families.

The price covers bed and breakfast. Children under three are free. Families who are not staying in the accommodation at the College will be able to attend the activities as day visitors at a cost of €100.

It is recommended that those interested in attending book early as spaces are limited.
