The Business Support Scheme 2024 is now open

The Business Support Scheme 2024 is now open – an opportunity for businesses to receive financial support of up to 50% for Irish/language marketing materials.

Foras na Gaeilge’s Business Support Scheme is now accepting applications for 2024. The aim of the scheme is to assist businesses in promoting their Irish language signage, packaging, websites, and printed marketing materials. Eligible businesses can apply for financial support to cover up to 50% of the total cost from Foras na Gaeilge. To qualify for the scheme, businesses must be small or medium-sized enterprises.

Classification of Grant Categories:

  • New or Replacement Business Signage: funding of up to €1,500/£1,350
  • Irish/bilingual packaging: funding of up to €1,500/£1,350. Shopping bags are not eligible for funding.
  • Websites: Funding will be awarded for websites based on the relevance and practicality of the site. In some cases, funding of up to €1,500/£1,350 may be approved.
  • Other bilingual/Irish language materials: funding of up to €1,000/£900 for other relevant business materials deemed suitable and necessary by Foras.

Businesses can submit applications through Foras na Gaeilge’s website. It is important to note that there is a limited budget for this scheme, applications are accepted, and they are evaluated continuously until the funding is spent. We encourage businesses to apply to the scheme as soon as possible.
