Glór na nGael is delighted that it will be back in Corca Dhuibhne this year for the annual Gaeltacht holiday for Irish speaking families. It will take place from Sunday 9 until Saturday 15 August 2026.
The week-long holiday provides an opportunity for families raising children in Irish to come together in a fun, supportive and friendly atmosphere to get to know each other and spend time with other families on the same language journey.
We will be located once more in Coláiste Íde close to an Daingean. More families than ever attended last year’s event and we once more look forward to further growth of the event.
This year, our program of activities is being finalized and will include art workshops, sport, a trip to the Blasket Islands, beach fun, horse riding, a trip to the Hurdy Gurdys, and much more.
Accommodation is provided in Coláiste Íde itself, which includes private rooms and shared dormitories. Some families prefer to make their own arrangements and attend the events.
The clár of activities is currently being organised. Meal-times in Coláiste Íde and events will be coordinated so as not to conflict with each other.
The week will costs:
Day visitors are those who have their own lodgings arranged and are not staying overnight in Colaiste Íde. There will be an extra charge on attendance at some of the events.
A deposit of €50.00 is required for each family to book a space on the Saoire Ghaeltachta.
