Glór na nGael are now accepting grant applications from clubs registered with The Joe McDonagh Foundation for round 1 in 2019.
Grants of up to €500 are available to clubs participating in the language scheme. Projects and events which encourage the use and learning of the Irish Language among the club community will be eligible for support. The fund will provide €2 match funding for every €1 put towards eligible projects by the club. The maximum award made
in any funding round will be €500, allowing for a total project spend of €750 including the club’s contribution.
Contact your local Glór na nGael representative to access the application form as well as to get information on the terms and conditions. The grant scheme is only open to registered clubs. Any other interested clubs should contact Frainc Mac Cionnaith, frainc@glornangael.ie to discuss registering with the Foundation. To qualify, clubs must be registered with registration fee paid and submit applications by 17:00 on Friday 15 February. This round of funding is for projects completed between February and 31 July 2019.
The Joe McDonagh Foundation is a support service provided by Glór na nGael and the Gaelic Athletic Association to GAA clubs wishing to further the Irish Language in their community.
