Advice on managing data under GDPR regulations

Glór na nGael has published advisory documents for community group to assist then on fulfilling their duties under General Data Protection Regulations, GDPR.
GDPR are regulations that give citizens rights in regard to information that organisations and businesses hold about them. There are implications arising from the regulations for those groups who do not adhere to the duties arising from them.

The first document, Measúnú Tionchair agus RGCS/GDPR Treoir do Choistí Pobail, addresses how groups can go about assessing how GDPR relates to them. The document explains the benefits that arise from carrying out an assessment of information held, when to do it, the steps required and those who should participate involved in that assessment.

The second document, RGCS/GDPR Cearta do Dhaoine Aonair Treoir do Choistí Pobail, explains the rights that individuals have arising from GDPR.

The Data Protection Commission is responsible for upholding GDPR.
