Third Level Clubs and Societies


Glór na nGael hold an annual competition for Gaelic societies in third level institutes to promote best practice in planning, community development and networking between colleges.

Glór na nGael hold an annual competition for Gaelic societies in third level institutes to promote best practice in planning, community development and networking between colleges.

The competition in a means of providing recognition to the societies meeting standards of best practice in the various competition categories and in governance.  Another aim of the competition is to bring societies from different regions and communities together and promoting relationships across borders and backgrounds and the exchange of best practice models.  Particular emphasis is placed on the preparation and implementation of a language plan.

This competition is organised with the support of The Department of Education and Skills.
