The development of the Irish Language at community level has a central role in the work of Glór na nGael. Glór na nGael recognise community development as action and provision on behalf of a certain community. The main criterion pertinent language development at community level are:
Usage – promoting, fostering and strengthening the use of the Irish Language
Status – fostering and promoting a positive attitudes towards the Irish Language
Capacity – fostering and strengthening capacity at individual / family / community levels
