Glór na nGael adjudication to commence
Adjudication for the national Glór na nGael awards will begin on Monday 27 October 2008.
This adjudication relates to Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 of the competition for which there is a prize find of €90,000 to be won.
“Both new and long established committees at Levels 1, 2 and 3 will be adjudicated on and I wish them all success,” said Glór na nGael Director, Lorcán Mac Gabhann.
Adjudication for Level 4 of the competition will start on 13 November 2008. A prize fund of €60,000 is available to committees at this level of the national competition.
Lorcán Mac Gabhann continued: “Two new committees will be in the running for the top prize this year. It is a sign of the vigour and the developmentof the competition that committees like Céim Aniar in Donegal and Glór Ceatharlach in Carlow are now ready to compete with others at this level.”
Congratulating both committees, he added: “The highest of praise has been earned by both Céim Aniar and Glór Ceatharlach. Their promotion to Level 4 is national recognition for their professionalism and the excellent results of their work.”
