Glór na nGael appointment
Glór na nGael has announced the appointment of a new development officer.
Áine Seoighe who was formerly employed by Foras na Gaeilge started work with the Glór na nGael today (16 February 2009).
Welcoming her, Lorcán Mac Gabhann, Glór na nGael director said: “Áine has wide experience with the Irish language sector and I am sure she will make an important contribution to the Glór na nGael.
“I am delighted to welcome her to the team and look forward to working with her.
“She will be working primarily with committee’s at level 1 of the competition and with the competition for Irish language societies in third level educational institutions,” he said.
Áine Seoighe is a native of Conamara. She has spent 24 years working with Foras na Gaeilge and Bord na Gaeilge before it in the Community and Business Department.
Glór na nGael is a national competition that acknowledges work done by voluntary committee’s to promote the Irish language.
